High School Enrichment

We host webinars on aspects of the college application process such as financial aid, SAT/ACT testing, mental health, and more! These 1-2 hour informational sessions are held on Zoom and information is distributed through our social media and mailing lists. Students are encouraged to submit webinar topics for us to cover via email, Instagram direct message, or in our webinar exit surveys. All guests, including those formally unaffiliated with the one-to-one mentorship program, are welcome to join our webinars. If guests are unable to attend the webinar live, a recording will be uploaded to our website and Instagram page.

While we monitor all points of contact, our fastest response will likely be through Instagram. In addition to advice, informational updates, deadline reminders and recaps of our webinars, we post all of our announcements on our social media. We also repost important flyers from other organizations such as scholarships and Tibetan initiatives.

Whether you are accepted to the formal one-on-one mentorship program or not, anyone has access to the Rokpa mentor network. For example, if a mentee has an interest in a specific school that their mentor did not apply to, the mentee can contact one of the co-founders who will put them in touch with a mentor who attends or was accepted into the school of their choice. If the school is not within the Rokpa network, the co-founders will connect them with other resources outside of our program. Anyone, including applicants who were not accepted to be a mentee, high school students who are not seniors, and parents, has access to these resources.
